Funäsfjällen are 170 companies that work together in the villages of Ramundberget, Bruksvallarna, Fjällnäs, Tänndalen, Tännäs, Ljusnedal, Messlingen, Mittådalen and Funäsdalen village. Funäsfjällen comprise ski centres, ski schools, ski rental outlets, cross-country networks, snowmobile trails, marked trails, adventure companies, hotels, holiday villages, restaurants, cafés and shops.
Funäsfjällen have reliable snow conditions and regularly share first place in the Swedish snow ratings with Riksgränsen. Here you’ll find 60 peaks above 1,000 metres. The high mountains push up the clouds from the west which release snow over the Funäsfjällen, even when it’s raining to the north and south.
Funäsfjällen have the most downhill runs on one ski pass in all of Scandinavia, no less than 136. There’s also an expansive network of cross-country tracks here, with a total of 300 kilometres. The snowmobile trails cover 450 kilometres and are groomed regularly.
