START LOCATION:
Park at Tänndalen ski stadium and start from the ski bridge that crosses the main road 84.

DESCRIPTION OF THE TRIP:
A beautiful tour that is not very long but you can choose to go all the way up to Lillskarven. The tour provides a mountain experience, although it is so short and accessible. The trip is well footbridged and usually you can go dry-shoed with gym shoes, but good hiking shoes are recommended.

Follow Mine Trail, marked with red moose and golden tour marking, from northern end on the bridge over the road 84. Take to the left after 1 km when marked trail crosses Nordic Ski tracks, and follow the sign Gruvleden.
By the windprotection “Synasjössboa” follow Gruvleden to the right. After about 100 meters, follow the Gruvleden to the left. You soon reach Floorgruvan, an open-cast mine, and one of two attempts at ore mining.
Now you’re near the treeline, which lies high thanks to the favorable conditions in Funäsdalen. Sometimes the treeline reach above 1000 m above sea level, which is highest in Sweden. Follow the path over the mountain plateau straight towards Lillskarven up to the lookout point, where there are tables and benches for resting with a beautiful view.
From the lookout point, you can choose to follow the small path to Lillskarven. You cross the marked trail between Malmbäckstugan and Andersborg. Go on up – to a spot of snow one floor up (100 meters altitude) on Skarvvålen. This could also be a good place to take a break with a fantastic view down towards Funäsdalen and Funäsdalssjön. Lime string in the bedrock has given the mountain avens and rare orchids a place on the mountain.
Continue on level up and you have a flat high plataeu with a view of Härjedalens beautiful mountains. The view is enchanting!
Choose if you want to continue up to Lill-skarven top (recommended) or turn back from here. If you choose to do a peack ascent, you’re up on 1224 meters above sea level.
Then follow the same path back to the lookout point and continue Gruvleden towards Andersborg. On the way down to Andersborg you pass Skarvfjällsgruvan, a little bigger mine.
From Andersborg, take the orange-marked path back down to Fjällparkeringen. From here, take the gravel road down.
When you reach the main road 84, you see the ski bridge to the left, ca. 200 meters away.
