The true fells
Are you searching for extraordinary skiing, alpine or crosscountry, nature, family-friendliness or real challenges, nightlife, gastronomic delights and a genuine atmosphere? Well, then you have found the right place.
In Funäsfjällen you will encounter eight active villages, five ski areas (all on one ski pass) possibly the world´s best cross-country skiing with 300 km prepared tracks. And Unrivalled ski touring adventures with 60 peaks at more than 1000 masl within reach.
Anno 1882
You have arrived at the crib of Swedish mountain tourism history; already in 1882, the first tourists arrived in Fjällnäs. And since then they have kept coming back. Many have also settled down here. This is the aspect of the real mountains, they hold a strong attraction which keeps on tempting.

Five on one pass
Whether you opt for Funäsdalsberget, Ramundberget, Tänndalen, Tännäskröket or Kappruet - you will see the others thrown in. Within a comfortable distance, using the ski bus service or your car you have acess to 134 pistes, virtually unlimited off-piste skiing as well as heli-skiing, ski schools, parks and children´s areas.
Wilderness
We share this highland area with bears, musk ox and reindeer. The wilderness and the vast snowscapes surround the pistes and the trails.
The snow
There is something special about the snow here, it´s dryer, softer, fluffier. The westerly winds blowing in from the Atlantic are pushed upwards by the peaks and release their virgin loads over Funäsfjällen, normally about five metres in all over a season. Between June and September we usually store away the skis, usually that is.
Nordic Ski Center
With the 300 km of groomed crosscountry tracks (330 km including the high-altitude touring trails) you will have enough to explore and to work on your technique before starting again. Our ambition is to have all the important tracks ready and groomed before 10 am every day. You can follow the preparation in real time at funasfjallen.se and TV Funäsfjällen.
Snowmobiling
With 450 km of groomed snowmobile trails, of which 150 km at high altitude, we connect the villages, the peaks and the seven terminals for parking and unloading.
Staying & dining
Resorts, classic guesthouses, apartments in ski-in/ ski-out location or a cabin half-way up the slopes. Gourmet restaurants, burgers or waffles. Percolator coffe or espresso; the choice is yours.
